This is Kira riding her four year old Percheron/TB cross. This is the first time she rode her in the pasture.
Phoenix wasn't quite herself, but she actually did very well. Rastell, who had been left in the pasture to sooth Phoenix while she worked, suddenly got a wild hair and started running around like a mad man!
Apparently he is turning into a new horse. All the weekly acupuncture, massage, and major supplements are doing the trick.
He was so funny!
We just started leasing this adorable little Shetland pony named Lightning. He is such a sweetie-pie. The kids had their first lesson with Kira and they did very well. Even Scarlet (who I thought was going to be too scared) hopped right on when Kira asked her if she wanted to ride next. There is an album listed on the left side.

The fair was excellent, but it was down right freezing. The wind was blowing like crazy and the news said there were over 150 tornados over the weekend. Although I was dissappointed that Rastell didn't get into the Steffen Peters clinics, I was very glad that I didn't have to pull a trailer in that wind.

Here's a brand new baby horse born at the barn that I just moved PF to. This baby's name is Renata.
Ken McGrath is a horse trainer from Illinois. He gave a clinic at Pratt Farm last weekend where he rode PF for me and gave me and several ladies lessons. It was the best clinic that I have ever been to. It was exactly what I needed!

OMG...I need to get alot more serious about losing weight! Poor PF, she has been so neglected! I got only half of her main pulled when we both got tired of pulling. She just had some dental work done and was acting so strangely when I tried to put a bit in her mouth that I decided not to push the issue. So, once again, we haven't been riding.
